Review of 2020

2020… Lot of people want to forget about it and finaly move on to the new year. But as an introvert, thanks to the 2 quarantine we have this year, I have been able to think a lot about my golf technique.

Since I started golf the biggest issue I have in my game is the fact that I was unable to fix the technique in my mind and stick to it. I was constantly thinking, improving it, testing things and never actualy give myself time to take those things in in order to performance on the golf course.

So far each time i went on the golf course I had a new way of thinking about my swing and immediately trying to apply it. I was trying to performance in a constant state change in my game. Which is the opposite of what you want to do when it come to scoring low.

But this year I had time, a lot of time to think about my technique, putting things together, until I reach a point where the improvement I still think about are very subtle changes that doesn’t realy affect to over way I am swinging.

More presciely, the dynamic model is clear in my mind, but they are small difference between what I wish to do and what I actualy do.

So now I am constantely scanning for more subtle incoherence in my technique model in order to get the result I want. But those things will improve my consistency, rather than like before create a big drop in performance before paying off.

I think I start reaching the point where, I can start managing expending my maximum potential at the same time I work on unleashing my potential for maximum performance.

So pretty happy on how things went this yet. I have focused my time and energy on consolidating my technique, and I got great result so far.

Goal for 2021

Now that my technique and fondation is solid, it’s time to reap what I sow. This year I want to focus more on the golf course and start doing competition again.

I have put competition aside for a few year now. Primarly to recover from my burnout and also building everything back up with strong fondation.

Now that I have strong fondation, it’s time to get back to business.

I don’t think I am going to set performance goals for this year. I just want to build my confidence on the golf course, doing some competition, probably once per month would be a good start. And also between my job and my real estate investment, it’s going to be hard to do more than that.

2021, is also going to be a big year on my personal side. Because I might be able to manage to quit my job. Therefore, I will few a tone of time to train more and better on my game in 2022.

So lot of stuff coming, I am realy existed about this coming year.

Action Plan

Very simple:

  • Plan on doing one golf course a week, and if possible in one different golf course each week
  • Plan at least one competition per month, if possible multiple round competition, 2 or more round

Let’s get it!
