54, is it a legend ? Could it be possible ? Does reaching a certain level of mastery in Golf all to develop a game so consistent that scoring most of the time on the 50’s become the standard ?
18 Birdies in 18 holes, this is what it take to score 54 on a standard 72 par golf course. And I want to figure it out!
54 is basicaly the concept that describe how I think about golf. This is what drive me forward to keep improving my game and become the best player I can possibly be. But probably not in the way you may think about it.
I consider 54 to be the TRUE PAR. And I want to score bellow it.
All the discussion about making the golf courses longer and shaping them to the limit of what is playable is a non-sense. Golf is still early in it’s developement. And the par 54 was built for player from an other generation. Where the technologies used for the golf courses and to play cannot be compare to what we have today. As well as the knowledge about the game that we as human have develop across the lifetime of this sport.
Today’s player dedicate their lifes to master this game and with the help of technology are able to push the limit of what was considered possible before.
And that’s normal! And we should not fight against it! Every sports evolve overtime. We shouldn’t be affraid of the change but rather embrace it.
So it’s time that we accept that the true essence of golf is to have a par at 54 for 18 holes. Where the goals is to reach full mastery of the game and our inner selves.
So here in this blog and also with the video of my youtube channel, I bring you with me on my journey of reaching full mastery of the golf.
But that’s not my only goal. My main goal for doing all of that is that I wish to become a professional player on the European Tour and PGA Tour and earn a living as a professional player. Where my ultimate goal is to win the Master.
But my ULTIMATE Dream would be to win the Master with 4 rounds in the 50’s.
I have no idea if this is even possible. But this dream is stuck in my mind and nobody can talk me out of it. So I have to give everything I have in order to figure out the answer.
And as long as I am concern the answer lies in the full mastery of the Game. So this is what I am focusing on.
